Acid reflux is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong. Most of the medicine you’ll take for it won’t touch the root causes.
If left untreated, it can leave you unable to swallow. Chronic untreated heartburn can put you at risk for cancer.
Most heartburn remedies don’t stop reflux—it only dulls the discomfort. And you still have digestive enzymes that flood your esophagus each time you eat. This can significantly increase your risk of esophageal cancer.
One simple procedure can both treat your heartburn and significantly decrease your risk of developing esophageal cancer in the future.
General practice doctors who don’t specialize in GI issues will prescribe drugs before digging deeper.
Dr. Dunn is a Gastrointestinal Foregut Physician who is hyper-specialized in understanding, diagnosing, treating and curing problems associated with long-term heartburn and acid reflux.
